Mark Berry

Obituary of Mark Berry

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Mark Alfred Alvin Berry on October 31, 2024. Mark is pre-deceased by his wife of 42 years, Carol Berry and parents, Frank and Hazel Berry.  He is survived by his son Paul, daughter and husband Natalie and René Romero, grandchildren Lukas, Sophia, Michael, William and Claire; his siblings, nieces, nephews, and many great friends.

Mark met Carol at Grantham Highschool, where they became high school sweethearts and spent a wonderful 47 years together. He became a welder at a young age and worked at the Port Weller Dry Docks for most of his career, where he was part of the Boilermakers brotherhood and met many of his lifelong friends. He had a passion for sports, and was a dedicated Liverpool FC, Montreal Canadians, Kanas City Chiefs and Toronto Blue jays fan. He absolutely adored all his grandchildren and cheering them on from the sidelines of all their sporting events as well. We will miss his giving nature, quirky personality and all his “dad jokes” that he thought were hilarious. He was truly the kindest person and will be missed dearly by all who knew him. We find comfort in knowing he has been reunited with his soulmate, Carol. May they both rest peacefully together.

The family will receive guests at George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St, St Catharines on Friday November 8, from 11am-1pm with a Memorial Service in the funeral home chapel at 1pm. At Mark's request cremation has already taken place. If so desired donations to Therapy Tails would be appreciated by the family.
