Obituary of Hilda Martens

Hilda Martens,

Died peacefully on October 15th, 2024 and went to be with her Lord whom she loved and served. Most of her life, Hilda was active in the church, in choir, teaching Sunday school, Pioneer Girls, Christian women's club and at the related activities. Jesus said I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father but by me. 

Hilda was privileged to go on more than 50 mission trips. Seven of which were with medical group missions, but the one that gave her the most joy and fulfillment were the 43 door to door evangelism trips where she witnessed many hundreds accept Jesus as Saviour.

She will be loving remembered by her sister Margaret Giesbrecht (the late Herb) and her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Jacob (the late Helen) and her sisters Martha Penner (the late Walter) and Lydia Boldt (the late John).

A private family service was held followed by interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
