Obituary of Arthur John Lipscombe

In Loving Memory of Arthur John Lipscombe

                                                    October 12, 1936 – September 29, 2024

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Arthur John Lipscombe, who departed from this world on September 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family and his beloved partner, Diana. Arthur lived a life full of love, dedication, and service.

Arthur proudly served his country as a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1954 to 1976, embodying courage and commitment throughout his career. After retiring from the RCAF, he continued to serve his community through his work with Canada Post from 1977 to 1989. His sense of duty and service, both in uniform and out, touched countless lives.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Arthur’s greatest joy in life was his family and the deep bond he shared with his loving partner, Diana. He leaves behind a lasting legacy in his four beloved children, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. His love for his family was the core of who he was, and they, in turn, brought him immeasurable joy and pride. He also shared a special bond with his dear companions, Jack and Norman, who brought him comfort and friendship in his later years.

In close, the family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff on 2 West at Shaver Hospital for the love and care they provided to both Arthur and his family during his final days.

Arthur will be remembered for his warm heart, his unwavering kindness, and the love he so generously shared with everyone fortunate enough to know him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he loved, and in the stories shared by those who cherished him.

Rest in peace, Arthur. Your legacy of love and service will continue to inspire us all.
