Obituary of Beverly Ann Moore
Full of shock and sadness, it’s with tears in our eyes that we have had to say goodnight and goodbye to our dear Mother and Gramma, Beverly Moore, after an unexpected battle with longstanding struggles from a progressive lung disease.
Beverly Ann Moore (nee Jarvis), spent 77 years stockpiling memories with her friends and family, absolutely cherishing moments with her grandchildren, Emily and Evan, along with her great grandson – and the apple of her eye – Theo.
Passing away on Thursday, September 26, our deep and piercing sadness is relieved somewhat by the knowledge that Bev has lovingly joined her daughter Michelle, in a place where they can rest together and Bev can catch her up on all that she has missed since her passing in 2010.
Bev was born November 19, 1946, to Frank and Elizabeth Jarvis, in St. Catharines, Ontario. She is survived by her daughter Shannon (Dan), grandchildren Emily (Jamie), Evan, Kealan and Sutter, and great grandson Theodore. Predeceased by her daughter, Michelle Kujawka (Jon), husband Al Fredette, and sisters Jean Dalton (Bill), Joyce Rodger (Joe), and Marlene Mower (Gerry).
Bev was a lifelong resident of St. Catharines, and a committed mother to her two girls, Michelle and Shannon, spending all of her years working for A&P (Metro) locally. She loved her time spent with family and friends at her trailer in Jordan Valley, and has spent the last 15 years as an enthusiastic member and resident of the Grace-Linwell retirement community, in addition to having spent countless hours as a member of the Dunlop Drive Centre for Older Adults. Outside of her love of time spent with Theo, and beaming pride over the accomplishments of her grandchildren, Bev’s passion for the Beatles, Coronation Street, and building miniature dollhouses brought joy to her days.
In lieu of a funeral, a gathering will take place at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, ON, on Saturday, October 12, from 1 to 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, we would ask that donations be provided in Bev’s memory to the Niagara Health Foundation, and may be provided through their website at www.niagarahealthfoundation.com. Cremation has taken place.
