Obituary of Henry Salach
On Thursday September 12th 2024, at the St. Catharines General Hospital, we said goodbye to a wonderful, kind, caring Husband, Father, Grandfather and Papa. Henry Salach suddenly passed away in his 85th year. Born in Beamsville in 1940, Henry resided in St. Cathrines. Henry is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Mary Salach and his son, Darryl Salach (2015). He leaves behind his loving wife, Patricia of 63 years; his saddened daughters, Debbie (Julio), Cathy (Chris); grandchildren Carly, Dalis (Carlos), Stephanie (Carlos) and Joseph. Great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Angelina, Vienna, Christian, Serena and Dexter; also, his brother Steve (Mary) and family in Sooke, BC.
Henry’s passion in life was his loving family, which he captured in many videos throughout the years. We can’t forget his beautiful gardens which he tended to daily and won a Trillium Award in 2000.
Henry was a huge fan of Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays and he would never miss a CFL game.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME. Cremation has taken place; a private family committal will be held at a later date. A special thank you to the First Responders and the Doctors and staff at SCGH. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make a donation to Hospice Niagara will be appreciated by the family.
