Obituary of Anna Marsh

Marsh, Anna (nee Stavropoulos)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother Anna on August 14th, 2024. Predeceased by her husband Walter (2011), mom to Lynda (Ron) and predeceased by her sons Wally (1978) and Jim (2015). Yiayia to Andrew, Michael (Erika) and Stephanie and Yiayia Anna to Alex and Elizabeth. Our mom was the last of her siblings who came to Canada in the early 50’s and will be happily greeted by her parents Christina and Demetrios and all of her brothers and sisters.  She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. We were blessed with my mom’s love, her family was her greatest pride and joy.  Mom was a pillar of strength, she was funny, loving and had cooking and baking skills that were unmatched.  We will miss you mom and everything you brought to our lives.  God bless you, love you forever.  XO

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 18th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the George Darte Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 585 Carlton Street. The First Thrice Holy Hymn Service/Trisagio will be held Sunday at 7:15 p.m. at the funeral home. The Second Thrice Holy Hymn Service\Trisagio will occur, with the ensuing Funeral Service on Monday, August 19th at St. Katharine Greek Orthodox Church  585 Niagara Street, at 10 a.m. The Final Thrice Holy Hymn Service\Trisagio and burial will occur at Victoria Lawn Cemetery following the Funeral Service.

If so desired, donation made to St. Catharines Community Living to assist special needs individuals or St. Katharine Greek Orthodox Church in Anna's memory would be appreciated by her family.
