Konstantinos Maroudas

Obituary of Konstantinos Maroudas

MAROUDAS, Konstantinos - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Konstantinos (Gus) Maroudas on Thursday July 25th 2024 in his 89th year. Born November 5th, 1934, in Patras Greece he immigrated to Canada in 1962, and settled in Niagara on the lake as a proud poultry farmer. We take great comfort in the knowledge that our father will be reunited with his late wife Athanasia with whom he shared 57 wonderful years together. Konstantinos’ greatest pride came from being together with his children Peter (Tammy), Andy (Dora),and Christine (Harry Raptis). He found tremendous joy being Pappou to his six grandchildren Stanley, Fotina, Dean, Ethan, Demi, and Ryan watching them grow and flourish. He is survived by his sisters Irene and Voula and predeceased by his sister Foula. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all his friends and loved ones!  Visitation will be held on Monday, July 29th from 4-9p.m. at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. The First Thrice Holy Hymn Service/Trisagio will be held Monday after 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The Second Thrice Holy Hymn Service\Trisagio will occur, with the ensuing Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 30th at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church at 11 a.m. The Final Thrice Holy Hymn Service\Trisagio and Burial will occur at Victoria Lawn Cemetery following the Funeral Service. The family kindly requests that any donations in Konstantino's memory be made to St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church.
