Obituary of Ermine Blijden
On Thursday, July 4 2024, we said goodbye to our dear mother, grandmother and matriarch of the family, Ermine Violet Blijden in her 87th year surrounded by family at the St. Catharines Hospital. Survived and loved by her devoted husband of 48 years, Keith Blijden and loving children Tanya and Donovan and grandchild Nicolas; brothers, sisters, cousins along with nieces and nephews along with Elaine and the Blijden family.
Violet will be remembered for her extravagantly baked cheesecakes, great cooking and her love of reading risqué novels. She was a high-skilled-awarded jeweler before she devoted her life to taking care of her family. Violet had a classic style and always made an effort to present herself with pride.
In keeping with Violet’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. The family welcomes guests for a time of gathering on Saturday, July 13 2024 from 11:00 – 1:00pm followed by a Celebration of Violet’s life in the funeral home ceremony room beginning at 1:00pm.
