Obituary of Edward William Carpenter

God gave me my wings, no more suffering or pain.

With sadden hearts, we announce the passing of our much beloved father, grandfather and brother Ed, who left us suddenly in his 88th year on Wednesday,July 3rd, 2024. Forever missed and loved by his daughters Patty McGlynn (Drew) and Debbie Wight (Dana) and his grandson Kolten Wight. Predeceased by his loving wife Marilyn (2009), brothers Larry and John, sisters-in-law Frances "Frank", Carol and Louis, and brother-in-law Dave Ames.

Lovingly remembered by his brothers Bud (Mary), Rick (Patti), Barry, Bob and his sisters Linda, Heather (Pat) and Marlene, his brothers-in-law Ron Joss (Jo-Anne), Bob  Joss and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 585 Carlton St. on Thursday, July 25th from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A private graveside interment will take place at a later date.
