Obituary of Peter Yves Martineau
MARTINEAU, Peter
The family of Peter Martineau is sad to announce that on November 28th, he lost his battle with cancer at the age 67.
Son of the late Leo and Rita Martineau and also predeceased by his son Cole.
Survived by his loving and loyal wife Leslie (nee Hibbard), his devoted son Lee and loving sister Shirley. Also survived by his father in law, brother in law and many nieces and nephews.
Peter cherished his time as a Pilot on the Pilot Boats. The passing of Peter ends an era of a Martineau working at GM in St Catharines for the better part of 60 years. Peter's laughter is going to be missed by his family and friends. Peter has probably already finished his first round of golf at the "Heavenly Gates Golf Course" and also being awarded the "Best Dressed Angel". The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to all the Nurses and Doctors at the Hotel Dieu-Shaver Hospital and to his friends that were there by his side during this hard time.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has take place.
Peter's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, December 6th from 10-10:45am. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11am. Inurnment to follow in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations to the Hotel Dieu-Shaver Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Peter
