Obituary of Maria Hendrika Swinkels
On Tuesday, June 4th 2024, the Lord called to glory His precious child; our mother, Oma and Great Oma, Maria Swinkels (nee Gathier). We thank our God that she is reunited with her husband and our dear father, Cornelis Swinkels singing Holy, Holy, Holy with all the saints. We also thank God with her and remember the good things we have shared together. We rejoice that she has run the race and we are happy for the reward that Jesus promised.

Henry and Henrietta Swinkels; Neil and Lindsey Swinkels, Henry, Judah and Gemma, Ian and Erin Swinkels, Abigayle and Dominic, Tim and Mallissa Swinkels and Carson and Ella, Reuben and Karissa Swinkels, and Ruby and Mae.
Tini and Simon Oosterhof; Jessica and Erik Frank and Sophia and Hazel, Jonathan Oosterhof, and Rebekah and Dan VandenBoogaard and Adalyn.

She will be missed and remembered by other family members including her brother Fancois and Diny Gathier, Jos and Anne Swinkels and the Vandekleut families.
She will also be missed by many dear friends at Martindale Place and Covenant CRC.
In keeping with Maria’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A Thanksgiving service to the Lord for the life of Rita Swinkels will be held Monday, June 10th 2024. Celebrated at 11:00am at the Covenant CRC, 278 Parnell Rd, St. Catharines with visiting time and luncheon to follow the service.
