Obituary of Kathleen Laurie Anne Henderson
It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Laurie Anne Henderson on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 in her 75th year at the St. Catharines General Hospital.
She leaves behind her devoted husband of 37 years David. Proud mother to Terry (Tracy), Melanie (Gerry) and Rachel (John).Loving Grandma to Michael, Matthew (Brielyne), Rachel (Steve), Daniel (Mike), Joshua (Tara), Zachary, Nicholas, Jakob, David, Rebecca, Reece, and Laura.
Her love reached even further to her great-grandchildren, Danni Lynn, Maverick, and Raelynn.She will be sadly missed by her sisters, Elaine (Roy),Karen (Wolf), brother Robert and brother in-law Fred.
Special Sister-in-Law to Marlene, Dale and Carol (Rick). Loving aunt to Fred (Samantha), Laura Lee, Elissa (Brad), Robbie, Alysha (Evan), Jakob, Larissa, Alicia, Misti (Adam), Jase (Melissa) and Brandon (Haley)
She was pre-deceased by her parents, Robert and Laura, her sister Janette and her brother-in-laws Cliff and Lonney.
Laurie was a retiree from General Motors of Canada where she was employed for over 25 years. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Her home was always full of laughter, love, and delicious food, and she had a special way of making everyone feel valued and loved.
The family will receive visitors at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Monday May 27th from 11-1 pm with service at 1:00 pm followed by a burial at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Salvation Army.
The family wish to express their gratitude for the great care and compassion given from all of her Personal Support Workers at Bayshore Home Health and Paramed.
