Obituary of Dionisia Boni

Dionisia passed away at 95 years of age on May 22, 2024.  Devoted wife to Michele (predeceased October 18, 2002).  Loving mother to Frank (Jo Anne) and Anthony (Julia). Dionisia was a loving Nonna to Nicholas, Lauren, Christina (Dario), Christopher (Britt) and Adrianna, and Bisnonna to seven: Alaya, Mikah, Izaak, Hanalei, Shepard, Kailani and Vea. She is survived by her sister Giuseppina (Angelo) and predeceased by siblings Elia, Fabrizio and Angelo.

She was born and married in Prossedi, Italy and emigrated to Canada in 1954.  Dionisia worked on many farms and in greenhouses, and helped many family members over the years.

We would like to thank the nursing team at Niagara Health - St. Catharines Hospital for their professional and compassionate care.  Memorial donations may be made to the Niagara Health Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region.

The family will receive visitors at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines Wednesday May 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm with prayer service at 3:00 pm.  Funeral mass will be held at St. Alfred's Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street, St. Catharines Thursday, May 30th at 11 am with burial to follow at Pleasantview Cemetary, Fonthill. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Niagara Health Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
