Obituary of Mike English
It is with the heaviest heart imaginable we announce that Michael “Mike” English peacefully transitioned from this realm surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 22nd 2024 in his 52nd year.
We have been able to share all of the messages that his online and real-life family had sent, written or voiced, with him over the last 2 days. We are eternally grateful to all of you who knew him, for loving him as much as his own brother and sister do.
We wish to commemorate the amazing care and compassion Mike received from the nurses at the Welland Hospital that cared for him. They could not speak highly enough of how kind Mike was, and that he was the best patient, because at times, he almost seemed more concerned about them than himself.
Mike is survived by his mother Gail English (nee Milton), sister Amy (Fraser) Bain and brother Dave (Shawn) English; niece Emmalee and nephews Cameron Bain and Kenneth English; aunts Cathy (Tom) McCullough and Anne Milton and will be missed by his many cousins.
We will remember the kind sentiments echoed in many of your messages as well, how Mike helped shape some of you and has been a significant part of your lives. His legacy will live on.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Cremation has taken place and the family will be holding a private interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a charitable donation in memory of Mike to The Humane Society of Greater Niagara Animal Clinic.
