Obituary of Teresa Ferland
FERLAND, Teresa Agnes (Walsh), passed away at Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 86. Beloved wife of Hank Ferland (1993). Loving mother of Kathy (Doug)Thoms, Predeceased by her sons Joseph McKelvey (1956) and Kerry McKelvey (2010), her parents, Frank Walsh and Elena Walsh, her brothers James, Bill and John, and her sisters Flora, Margaret, Mary and Helen. Loving grandmother to Kristen, Breanne (Joey Glacken) and Shannon (Steve Soucie). Special Gigi to Ember Glacken. Beloved sister to Clara Phillips (James), Anne Primeau, Fred Walsh, Leo Walsh (Sharon), Sheila Voisin (Mike). Aunt Teresa to many nieces and nephews.
Teresa recently moved to the Heatherwood, very reluctantly giving up her lovely condo downtown. She surprisingly joined in the many activities there and made some new friends. Many thanks to the staff at Heatherwood who enjoyed her fiesty personality.
The family would like to offer their appreciation to the staff at the St. Catharines General Hospital for their care and compassion provided from the nurses and staff.
In keeping with Teresa's wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted to GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 586 Carlton St., St. Catharines, Cremation has taken place.
