Obituary of Demetre Petropoulos

It is with heavy hearts we wish to announce the passing of Demetre Petropoulos.  He was predeceased by his wife, Pearl, to whom he was married for 24 years.  Loved father of Tina (Pete) Reid and Robert (Carmen) Petropoulos and the proud grandfather of Owen, Nickolas and Dylan. Demetre will be missed dearly by his immediate and extended family in Windsor and Greece. 


Demetre spent 22 years sailing with Upper Lakes Shipping as an electrician, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed nights out dancing, travelling and the occasional visit to the casino. 

 

Visitation will be on  Thursday April 4th, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St.Catharines. The First Thrice Holy Hymn Service/Trisagio will occur on Thursday, April 4th at 11:30 am at St. Katharine Greek Orthodox Church, 585 Niagara St., and Final Thrice Holy Hymn Service/Trisagio and burial at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.

 

Donations in memory of Demetre can be made to St. Katharine Greek Orthodox Church.
