CIMPRICH, Frank
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Violet Cordelia (2009). Survived by his children Lloyd (Leona), Carl (Mary) and Rita (Bob Gilchrist). Grandfather of Stephen and Michael, Melanie, Rebecca, Alexander, and Giselle, and Dana, Robert, Meagin, and Chad. Also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his sister Lucy Matson and his brother John.
Frank was a proud member of the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion (1 Can Para) and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for over 60 years. He was also a longtime supporter of the Wartime Heritage Museum and an avid airplane enthusiast. Frank was a retired foreman at General Motors, and after working there for almost 30 years, he enjoyed his long retirement.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 1 p.m. at St. Julia Church, 251 Glenridge Avenue, St. Catharines, with interment to follow. All guests are invited to a reception at the church following the service. If desired, donations to the War Amps would be appreciated by the family.
