Dear Hazel and family,
Rosemary and I send our deepest condolences to you on Tom's passing. Not only was he a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather but he was also a dedicated member of St. Catharines Fire Services and a pleasure to work for during my time as Training and Communications Officer. Even though he kept me on my toes he was always fair and gave me ample opportunity to better myself during my career. I have fond memories of the occasional Friday afternoon pie and coffee at Kita's Restaurant on Niagara St with Tom and Jim Phelps where there were no ranks just friendship. He will be missed.

Dear Hazel and Family: When I was hired by the City of St. Catharines, as a Firefighter in 1965, Tom was the first Firefighter to orient me to the new job. We worked together for twenty years as we both developed in our careers. He was a great leader, as a Lieutenant, Training Officer. Deputy Fire Chief and Fire Chief. I have kept in touch with Tom, since his retirement and as friends we shared many nice conversations together. I offer my sincere condolences to Hazel and Tom's family and I will miss our visits and am very thankful to have had Tom as my friend. Bob Clement

Dear Hazel, Lorna, Jim, Doug and Families. I cannot express my condolences and grief enough with your loss of Tom. He was such an influential part of my life from his leadership while I was in Sea Cadets to my career under him at the Fire Department. As we get older we sometimes lose touch with important people in our lives, but I am grateful that my late wife and I would occasionally run into Tom by chance. He was a gentleman through and through and I so admired him. Take consolation that he is out of pain. God Bless Tom and all of you at this sorrowful time. Respectfully Bob Corbett Jr.
