Obituary of Nellie Pasemko

PASEMKO, Nellie - Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Amica Bronte Harbour at the age of 101. Beloved wife of the late John Pasemko for over 50 years. Cherished mother of Larry (Theresa) Pasemko, Alan Pasemko and Linda (Frank) Stewart. Loving Baba of Alison, Hailey, Max and Anya. Great Baba of Ayla. Nellie grew up in Stryi, Ukraine until she was 14 years old. She then immigrated to Canada by herself and came to live with her loving older sister, the late Anna Kondracki of Toronto. Nellie became a successful seamstress in Toronto. She met the love of her life, John and her family was a very important part of life. Over the years, Nellie was very active with the Ukrainian Women's League and her church. She was a kind, generous and caring mother who will be greatly missed. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, on Tuesday, February 27th from 5-7 p.m. Panachyda will take place on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy to be celebrated at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 14 Rolls Avenue, St Catharines on Wednesday, February 28th at 11a.m. Burial at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to www.cufoundation.ca would be appreciated by the family.
