Obituary of Rene George Arsenault
ARSENAULT RENE The music has ended and the final verse of his country song has been sung. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rene George Arsenault Jr. on Friday, December 10 th, 2010 at the age of 55. Rene was born on May 13th, 1955, the eldest son of Rene and Kathleen Arsenault (both deceased). Best friends and soul mates for 40 years with wife Marilyn. Dad and hero to his 3 girls, Rhea Busch (Mike), Amanda McCooeye (Chris) and Laura Richards (Shawn). Proud Papa to Hayden, Ayva, Brodie and Reece. Big brother and mentor to his number one Bro, Kenneth. Son in law to Verna (Charlie) Merrill. Forever and always in the hearts of many, many good friends and extended family.
Rene was a true "Hill Boy" who was a West Park Graduate of 1973. He worked at GM for 30 years retiring at the age of 48. Although his voice is now silent, his music, laughter, strength and remarkable love will live on forever in all who knew this amazing man.
Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St. on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church on Wednesday at 11:30 am. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 8 pm. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Rheumatism and Arthritic Society would be appreciated by the family.
