Obituary of Lena Margaret Hosford
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lena Margaret Hosford (nee Breeze) on Thursday, January 25th in her 78th year with family by her side at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. Reunited with her cherished spouse, Bob Hosford. Lena is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Steve) Nowak; Nanie to, Tyler (Brandie), Megan (Matt) and Paige; great-grandchildren, Atticus, Asher and Oliver; sister Barbara (Curtis); nephews, Brian and Steven and many family extended family members in England. Predeceased by Lena are her parents, Douglas and Elsie Breeze. Lena was in her element at the casino, shopping or keeping up with Big Brother. Her outfits were always complete from the jacket to the shoes with glitter or fitted with a leopard print. She was an avid music lover, anything from Elton John to Neil Diamond, the Beetles, The Hollies and the Kinks. Lena will be missed by close friends from her building, Michael, Barbara, Enid, Marilyn and Edna and many others.
In keeping with Lena’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Cremation has taken place and the family will hold a memorial for Lena at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the Neonatal Unit at McMaster Hospital.
