Please accept my condolences. I was a close friend to Terry (as we knew him) during our high school years 1960-1964 in Dartmouth Nova Scotia. I remember his wit and intelligence. I find myself quite moved to learn of his death.

Terry was a fine friend, colleague, meticulous scholar and the moral centre of the Comparative Politics group in the Department of Political Science at Brock University. He has left behind a significant legacy of publications and reports.
He contributed to the leadership of the Brock University Faculty Association in his strong but measured and prudent advocacy. Terry was a very effective chief negotiater of the faculty collective agreement.
Terry Carroll touched the lives of 1000s of students as he mentored junior colleagues, such as myself, with his quiet upholding of Canadian values, insight and unflagging ethical probity.
His passing is a great loss to so many, but he lives forever in our hearts.

My condolences to professor Carroll’s beloved wife and to his family. You were a true gentleman, a witty, caring and a very generous professor and man. Prof. Terry Carroll inspired and encouraged us to follow our dreams.
