Obituary of Regina Heinar
We are sad to announce the peaceful passing of Regina Heinar (nee Leemets) on Thursday, January 18th 2024 in her 91st year at Albright Manor. Cherished mother to Kai Rasmussen and Tom (Evi) Heinar; grandma to Julie and Alexander (Priya) Rasmussen and Laani (Vince) Teetsov and Tuula (Matt) Gibbs. Predeceased by Regina is husband, Jaan Kivisild, son-in-law, Rick Rasmussen and mother Barbara Leemets. We are in gratitude for the exceptional care and compassion towards Regina by the staff and nurses at Albright Manor in Beamsville. In keeping with the family’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Cremation has taken place and a funeral memorial will be held on Saturday, January 27th 2024 at 3:00PM in the funeral home ceremony room. A private family burial to take place at York Cemetery in Toronto at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to Parkinson’s Canada and/or a charity of your choice in memory of Regina.
