Obituary of Donald William Bucknam
It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Donald “Don” Bucknam on Wednesday, January 17th 2024 in his 85th year at the NHS-St. Catharines with family at his side. Cherished husband of Sonia Bucknam of 53 years; loving father of Susan (Gerry), Suzanne (Michel), Christopher (Heidi); adored grandfather of Nicholas, Michael, Dan, Phil, Sam, Elijah and Anna; brother of Fay Oliver, with many nieces and nephews to miss Don.
Don enjoyed camping, fishing, wood-working and life in general. Beginning his career at WP Londons, Acres, Procter and Gamble then Nelson Steel he always kept busy, up until he passed. Family wish to express their gratitude to the doctors and staff who gave exceptional care to Don. In keeping with Don’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life shall be planned for the future. If desired, please consider making donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and/or a charity of your choice in memory of Don.
