Obituary of Maria Antonia Miele

With deep sorrow we announce the passing of our mom Maria Antonia Miele, on January 6 2024 surrounded by the family she loved so much. Pre deceased in 2002 by her husband Francesco, she leaves behind son John (Angie), Josie (Joe) Carbone, her grandchildren Frank (Sarah), Steve (Joy), Diana (Stefano) Di Pietro and Daniel (Holly) Carbone. Also survived by the loves of her life her great grandchildren Quinn, Jack, Ava, Dominic, Leo, Julian and Amelia. She also leaves behind her siblings Libera (late:John) Miele, Maria (Francesco) Felice, Giovannina (late:Angelo) Salvatore, sister in law Antonietta (late Nicola) Miele. Predeceased by sibling Tommaso (late:Pasqualina) Miele.

Maria loved gardening and spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking and feeding the people she cared about.

The family will receive guests at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St, St Catharines L2M 4Y1 (905)-937-4444 on Wednesday January 10th from 2-4 and 6-8pm with Vigil Prayers at 3pm.  A Funeral Mass will be held at St Alfred Church on Thursday January 11th at 11am with entombment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
