Obituary of Michael Richard Rapsey

The famous Michael (Mikey, M.R.) Rapsey passed away unexpectedly on December 28th at the age of 77. Cherished father of Melissa (John) Rapsey-Beaupre, Adam (Kathryn) Rapsey and Jennifer (Nik) Orbovic. Proud grandfather of Kelly, Ashley, Abby, Isabella and Yelena. Dear brother to Trudy (David) Warren. Survived by the two loves of his life Sue the mother of his children and wife Pam Rapsey, Uncle of Jason (Laura) Russell and their son Thomas. Predeceased by loving parents William and Muriel Rapsey.

Mike was known for his love of gardening and a fond member of the St. Catharines Legion where he enjoyed playing ipool, cards and golf leagues. A great lover of music, history and a master wordsmith while telling a tale.

He will be missed by many friends and family.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the George Darte Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 585 Carlton St, St. Catharines. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on  Wednesday, January 3rd from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A funeral service will held in the Ceremony Room of the funeral home on Thursday,January 4th at11:00am. Following the service the family will be holding a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #24 at 15 George Street in St. Catharines. Donations can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #24.
