Obituary of Glenville Osford McClean
It is with heavy hearts, that the family shares the news of Glenville’s passing at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, on December 26, 2023, at the age of 70, after a lengthy illness.
Glenville was a loving father to Dylan McClean (Grimsby), Natalie Kellman (Ryan) (Barbados) and Adrian Gill (Barbados) He was a cherished son of Mable Barker (Barbados) (predeceased), Brother of Lettie McClean, Myrlene McClean ( predeceased), Denzel McClean, and Carlisle McClean, all of Barbados. He was also a proud Grandad of Karishma, and Anaisha Kellman (Barbados) Glen was an uncle of many nieces and nephews, both in Canada, and Barbados. A special mention of two, Vere Adamson, and Roy McClean, whom he talked to daily from other parts of the world. Glen was a special friend of Blair Patterson, Blake Konkle, Jo-Anne Brunner (nee McClean) and George Brunner. He did have numerous friends throughout his life that really cared for him, as he was a friendly, caring, funny kind of guy.
Glen was born in St. Joseph, Barbados and lived there until 1987 when he immigrated to Grimsby, Ontario Canada.
His one great love outside of his family, was surfing, he had a ZEST for that for many years and loved his times on the swells. He also enjoyed Cricket and baseball, and you had better move if he was hitting that ball in your direction!!! He was a stone mason by trade, in Barbados, and when he moved here, built relocatable buildings and framed houses.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Spring of 2024.
