Obituary of Barbara Ann Brooker
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Barbara A. Brooker (nee Hawley) on Friday, December 22nd 2023 in her 93rd year at Pioneer Elder Care in St. Catharines. Barbara is reunited with her late and cherished husband, Ted Brooker and survived by her dear nephew, Christopher (Nina) Hawley; great-niece and nephew, Sarah and Matthew Hawley of North York and long-time and good friends, Sandra (David) McAslan. Barbara was predeceased by her previous husband of 40 years, Richard Jackman and siblings, John and Frank Hawley. Much appreciation and gratitude to the nurses and staff at Pioneer Elder Care at Lakeshore Residence, who gave exceptional support and care to Barbara over the years. In most recent years, Barbara fondly enjoyed travelling the ocean shores through cruises, watching the silver-screen movies always memorized by the beauties of the time and keeping up-to-date on world events listening to CBC.
