Obituary of Mary Jo Walton

WALTON, Mary Jo (nee Eaton) - Passed away with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, December 12th, 2023 at the St Catharines Hospital at the age of 67. Beloved wife of the late Les Walton. Cherished mother of Rob Walton and James Walton. Loving grandma of Amelia, Elise and Mackenzie. Special sister of Margaret Jones, Patty Colquhoun (David), Peter Eaton (Judy), Kim Eaton and Ryan Eaton. She is predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Teresa Eaton. Mary Jo will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. She was a passionate Nurse in Niagara for her entire working career. Mary Jo was an avid gardener and reader who loved spending time with her grandchildren. A sincere thank you to all of the staff at the Walker Cancer Centre and her dear friend and former colleague Barbara Gadomski. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St Catharines on Sunday, December 17th from 10a.m. -12p.m. A Celebration of Mary Jo's Life will follow at 12p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society – Pancreatic Cancer Research would be appreciated by the family.
