Robert Frattini

Obituary of Robert Gordon Frattini

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of a selfless and amazing man. Robert Gordon Frattini (aka Bob, Dad, Papa, Bobalinky and Uncle Bobby) passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family, at Linhaven in St. Catharines on Tuesday, December 12th 2023. First God had taken his hearing. Then He had taken his sight. Then He had taken his cognition. Now, lastly God has taken his soul, and we are all left with glorious memories of a wonderful man. That is, until we have the blessings to see him again.

Dad, will sadly be missed by his wife, Ellen Frattini (nee Strakauskas) of 56 glorious years and his three daughters, Andrea (Dean) Conrad, Lisa Frattini and Sandra (Angelo) DiLettera. Dad was also a proud Papa to six remarkable grandchildren, Spencer, Victoria, Nico, Jordan, Cameron and Marco. All of which will miss their Papa deeply.

Dad was predeceased by his father Ernest (Fred) and his mother Delma Frattini (nee St. Pierre), brothers Donald (Noreen) Frattini, Raymond (Betty) Frattini and his sister, Donna (Mario) Sanchioni. Dad was also loved and will be profoundly missed by several nieces and nephews; for he will forever be their ‘Uncle Bobby’.

Dad worked at Bell Canada with over 40 years of service, and was blessed to retire in 1992. His retirement was full of family, travel and the simple leisure’s of life. If Dad and Mom weren’t vacationing making memories like riding a hot air balloon over the pyramids in Egypt, they were driving daily to Niagara Falls or NOTL to feed the ducks. Dad’s life was full of laughter, love and classical music just the way he wanted it.

The whole Frattini family would love to thank all the Home care PSWs (especially Lisa Jones aka his fourth daughter) that aided in his care when his disease started to take over. Also, another heartfelt thank you to the Linhaven PSWs, RPNs and RN staff (especially Mercy, Queen, Bola, Mobolaji and Rob), that worked with compassion, respect and professionalism during our father’s short time there and through his transition from earth. For all of the people that aided in Dad’s care over the years, you will not be forgotten.

In keeping with Dad’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines.
