Obituary of Clyde Leverne Bell

Clyde “Buck” Bell age 77, passed away suddenly in his hometown of St. Catharines, on Saturday, November 18th 2023. He was an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast. He began riding and working on motorcycles in his early twenties and rode for over 40 years and now his son Lance has taken over his tradition. Clyde was an active member of Satan’s Choice Motorcycle Club of St. Catharines in the late 60’s and early 70’s and remembered that time fondly. He enjoyed camping, family BBQ’s, picnics, Christmas celebrations and spending as much time with his brothers, sisters and the entire family as much as he could.

He’s travelled throughout Ontario, out to the East Coast, trips to see his family in Maine many times and into the Southern States as often as possible. Clyde was a passionate sports fan, catching as many games by his beloved Toronto Blue Jays and Dallas Cowboys. He was looking forward to the football game on November 19th 2023 and Dallas won for him- See Darren, they can win! Clyde was also waiting for the Dallas game on the U.S Thanksgiving Day like every year, didn’t want to miss it. He worked as a Machinist at Peninsula Press Ltd. For over 30 years alongside his father-in-law, Des Morris Sr., brother-in-law Des Morris and sisters-in-law Pam Dowling and Val Hallworth.

Clyde is survived by the love of his life, Sherry Bell (nee Morris) who he met around 1972 and spent the next 50 wonderful (LONG) years together. Clyde was also survived by sons, Darren Bell, Lance (Joanne) Bell and Jarrod Bell, daughter Amber (Jay) Bell; 7 grandchildren, Jordyn (Nikola), Sydnee, Tyson (Mary), Justus, Durieal, Lexxus and Eli and one great-grandchild, Theodora; sisters, Margot (Tiny) Leslie, Carol (Patrick) Bell; brothers, Marvyn (Marilyn) Bell and Denny Bell with many nieces and nephews and countless friends to remember Clyde. Predeceased by his parents, Wilfred and Ruth Bell (nee Harper), brothers, Wayne Bell, Darryl Bell and Gary (Jeanette) Bell. The family wish to express their heartfelt thanks to the emergency department and critical care team at the NHS for taking such excellent care and support as the family spent their last day with Clyde.

A Life Celebration will be held in the Spring of 2024.
