Obituary of Charles Frederick Vaughn

VAUGHN, Charles Frederick Passed away peacefully on October 16th at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 86. Predeceased by his first wife of many years, Robina (2007). Cherished husband of Ellie Ruddle-Vaughn, and much loved father of Doug and his wife Mary of St. Catharines, Fred and his wife Annette of Cambridge, Dennis and his wife Pauline of Calgary. He will be missed by his brother Bill and his wife Shirley, his nephews Billy and his wife Arden, and Bob and Brent Vaughn. Caring grandfather to Mark, Madelaine, Michelle, James, Dylan and Robert Vaughn. Charlie was also a caring stepfather of Wade Ruddle, Kevin and his wife Tammy Ruddle, and much loved step grandfather to Sierra, Justine, Austin and Lauren Ruddle. Charlie was a well-known pilot in the Niagara Peninsula and stories of his numerous adventures will be sorely missed. Charlie's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, October 18th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, October 19th at St. George's Anglican Church, 63 Church Street, St. Catharines at 11am. Cremation will follow the service. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or the St. George's Anglican Church Breakfast Club would be appreciated by the family.
