Passed away on November 3, 2023 at the St Catharines General Hospital. He leaves behind his wife and best friend of 31 years Wendy. He is also survived by his sister Janet (Dennis) Price as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Marjorie (Bill), Margaret (Bill), Betty (Louie), Jean (Fred), and Donald. 

Sam worked over 30 years at the paper mill where he earned the love and respect of everyone he met. Sam was a generous soul who lived life to the fullest; he was a thoughtful, giving man who shared his good fortune with those around him.

At Sam's request cremation has taken place; a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
