Obituary of Norrie MacLeod
With heavy hearts, the family of Norman “Norrie” MacLeod announce his passing on Thursday, October 19th 2023 surrounded by his cherished wife and loving children. Survived by devoted wife of 49 years, Lesley MacLeod; proud father to Denise (Cameron) Murphy, Colin (Elizabeth) MacLeod and Marisa (Kevin) Hamilton; special Grandpa to, Rowan, Teagan and Gavin Murphy, Caleigh and Colton Hamilton, Ethan and Grayson MacLeod; predeceased by his parents, George and Barbara MacLeod (from Scotland). Norrie was exceptionally proud of his family. His strong quiet presence will be remembered in their hearts. He was known for his generous spirit, cheeky humour and could be found over the years joking with and supporting his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed participating in family events and often quick to be the handyman for neighbours and his own children. He had an avid love for playing and watching soccer and teeing off at the golf course. In keeping with Norrie’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 5th 2023 at the St. Catharines Golf & Country Club, 70 Westchester Ave., ON., from 4:00-7:00PM. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honour of Norrie to the Canadian Cancer Society.
