Obituary of Ryan Andrew Montgomery

Ryan (Monty) Montgomery, age 43, of St. Catharines, Ontario, passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.

Ryan was born in St. Catharines, and is survived by his mother Michele, father Lee (Rose), brother Chris (Ruth Marisol), sister Melanie, Aunts Amy (Duncan), Sandy (Ricardo), and Karen, and Uncle Doug (Sharon), and Aunt Susan. Ryan leaves behind six nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Ryan graduated from Thorold Secondary School in 1997 and went on to study welding at Niagara College. Ryan enjoyed sports, having played hockey and soccer, and he enjoyed playing tennis and golf with his brother.

During elementary school Ryan delivered the St. Catharines Standard newspaper, and went on to work in Mc Donalds, followed by Canadian Tire.

By his early 20’s, Ryan was living with the challenges of mental illness, and struggled until his passing.

Ryan was a caring, loving member of the family, and an animal lover. He was kind, gentle, loving, and always worked hard.

Ryan will be greatly missed, and always loved by his family.
