Obituary of Linda Buchan
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Linda Buchan in her 81st year with her family at her side. Cherished wife of the late Alexander Reid Buchan; loving mother to: Julia (Lee) Taylor, Jeremy (Kellie) Buchan, Malcolm (Stacey) Buchan and Andrew (Fiona) Buchan; proud Grandmother to: Claire and Cameron Taylor, Morgan, Amye, Tyler and Owen Buchan, Maggie Buchan, Mackenzie and Isla Buchan. Predeceased by Linda were her parents, John and Nora Ivison and granddaughter Molly Buchan. Linda loved spending time with her family, especially watching and cheering her children and grandchildren on during their sporting events. She also enjoyed cooking traditional English meals for her family while reminiscing over her ancestral history. Linda very much enjoyed outings with her friend, Nancy Johnstone. The family wish to express their heartfelt thanks to Sister Louise and the Palliative care staff at Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion.
In keeping with Linda’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A private ceremony and burial will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, please consider making donations to the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital Foundation in memory of Linda.
