Roman Nicholas Komar 1944 – 2023
The family announces the peaceful death of their dear brother Roman on July 27th after a prolonged illness.
Roman was the oldest of 5 brothers born to Reverend Mykola and Mrs. Maria Komar (both deceased). He is also pre-deceased by brother John and survived by his brothers George, Andrei, Nestor and their families. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
As per his wishes, a private family funeral service has taken place.
His brothers wish to express their collective thanks to the many physicians, nurses and personal care workers at both Copernicus Lodge LTC and St. Joseph’s Hospital. Special thanks go out to our dear cousin Dr. Luba Komar for her continuous attendance and care for Roman. She took countless hours out of her busy clinical schedule in order to visit and provide us with regular updates when we could not be in Toronto.
Any donations in his memory to the Canada-Ukraine Foundation or to the Lincoln County Humane Society would be welcomed by the family.
