Obituary of Angelo D'Amico
Surrounded by love and close family, Ange passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the age of 81 at Hospice Niagara after a courageous battle with cancer. Devoted partner of over 28 years to Irene McArthur. Proud Father of Lisa (Stuart) Cutright and much loved Grandpa of Hannah and Henry of Rowlett, Texas. Sadly missed by his brothers John and Mario (Karen). Predeceased by his Father, Dominic and Mother, Antonietta. Also survived by an extended family of aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins, caring friends and neighbours in Canada, Bermuda and Italy. He was employed at the Fraser Paper Mill for 33 years as a papermaker, after which he worked at Sears Auto and Ed Learn Ford. Ange’s passion was people. He was an avid storyteller, sharing his tales with all who knew him. Member of St. John’s Anglican Church in St. Catharines, member at St. Catharines Old Boys Lacrosse Association, patient adviser at Hotel Dieu Shaver as well as regular of the Fourth Avenue Tim Hortons coffee crew. Arrangements have been entrusted to George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, with a visitation on Friday August 4 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. , Celebration of Life at 12 p.m. in the Ceremony Room and a reception to follow. If desired, donations to Hospice Niagara and Hotel Dieu Shaver would be appreciated by the Family.
