Passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at the St. Catharines hospital at the age of 72.

Beloved husband to Gienia, Cherished father of Pawel. He will be deeply missed by his sister Anna and brother Wladyslaw and their families.  Predeceased by his brother Stefan and his parents Stefania and Piotr of Poland.

He will be fondly remembered by his aunt Franciszka Zacharewski and family, his aunt Jozefa Sztogryn and family, his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also remembered by sister-in-law Krystyna and family, sister-in-law and brothers-in-law  all of Poland.

Roman will be remembered for his great sense of humor, family gatherings, his love for fishing and gardening.

The family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 585 Carlton St., on Tuesday, July 25 from 4 -8pm. Vigil Prayers at 6pm. Funeral Liturgy for Roman will be celebrated on Wednesday morning, July 26, at 11am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 5 Oblate St. Cremation to follow. If desired, donations made to the Niagara Health System, St. Catharines Site in Roman's memory would be appreciated by his family.
