DiPietro, Gaetana- Passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at the Heidehof long-term care home with her loving husband of 68 years, Carmine, by her side. Loving mother of Nick and Angela, and Peter and Lina. Cherished nonna of Tania (Michael), Cameron (Stephanie), Michael (Danielle), David (Kelly), and Robert (Andjela). Beloved bisnonna of Leo, Dina, Carmine, Milo and Luna. Predeceased by her sister, Rosa DiMatteo. Survived and loved by many friends, nieces and nephews.
Gaetana's joy was in her family and friends. She loved to have her family, especially her children and grandchildren, over to her house for Sunday dinners and special occasions. Gaetana was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Alfred's parish. A special thank you to Heidehof for the special care they have shown Gaetana over the past five years.
The family will receive friends and family at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, on Tuesday, July 18th from 1-3pm and 6-8pm. Vigil prayers will be celebrated in the funeral home on Tuesday, July 18th at 2pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred’s Church on Wednesday, July 19th at 11am with Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
If so desired, donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Benevolent Society Heidehof for the Care of the Aged.
