My condolences. He taught me 30 years ago and was my introduction to Spanish. I had friends visit from Catalunya last summer and I told them about him. A wonderful man.

My deep sympathy to the family of professor Fernandez on the passing their father, grandfather and great-grandfather.He was a true gentleman and scholar and leaves a legacy of which you can all be proud. I remember well the Fall of 1964 waiting patiently for him to arrive and begin teaching Spanish while I was a student in Brock's first class. His classroom manner was something I always appreciated. I loved the way he used to roll his "r" when he said "perfectamente". He became a visible presence at our class reunions as well. Rest In Peace
