Obituary of Brian Robert Gaudet
Brian Robert Gaudet
1952- 2023
It is with sadness that we announce the death of Brian Gaudet (born November 18, 1952) on July 2, 2023, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, following a short illness. Beloved father of Holly and Roary. Predeceased by his parents, Edmund and Alma Gaudet, his special aunt Tata and his sister Anita Fuhrmann. Survived by cousins in St. Catharines and Prince Edward Island, including several whom he grew up with and thought of as brothers. Brian was a Chartered Accountant and worked for a number of businesses in St. Catharines and Hamilton. He was a lifelong, stalwart Chicago Black Hawks fan, and for many years coached CYO hockey for St Mary's including both Holly's and Roary's teams. Brian learned to play guitar and especially enjoyed playing bass; for several years he traveled across the USA with Ryson's, performing in summer music festivals. Brian loved The Beatles and simply could not be stumped by any Beatles trivia question. Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 169 St. Paul Street, St Catharines on Wednesday, July 19th at 11a.m. followed by interment of ashes at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, 431 Queenston Street, St. Catharines. If so desired, donations made in Brian's memory to the Lincoln County Humane Society, would be appreciated by the family.
