Obituary of Maria Middlebrook

Cherished wife of Armand Middlebrook, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at St. Catharines General Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Josef Meszaros and Margit (Meszaros) Afanasiew, and stepfather Eugene Afanasiew. She will be sadly missed by family Lynne (deceased) and Alex Pler, Gail Middlebrook (Bill - deceased), Kyle and Barbara Middlebrook, Birdie and Ian Coutts, Lindsay and Dottye Middlebrook, and her many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. 

Born on March 18, 1944 in Budapest, Hungary, Maria was a true daughter of Hungary and fiercely proud of her Hungarian heritage. A long time Budget Officer for the City of Toronto Finance Department, she loved the everyday joys of family, friends and love of life. 

This world lost, but Heaven gained, a special angel today.  As per her wishes a private family funeral has been held.
