Obituary of Paul Arthur Dunn
Paul Arthur Dunn passed away peacefully at St. Catharines General Hospital on June 28, 2023 at the age of 58 surrounded by family and friends. Loving husband of Rosanne. Cherished father to Jennifer and Ian. Dear son of Ian and Maureen Dunn. Beloved Brother to Gillian Olsson (Jon). Uncle to Jeremy, Matthew, and Sara. Brother-in-law to Joe Popiel (Anne). Lovingly remembered by significant others, Mikey, Morgan, Sarah, Erika and Eric. He will be greatly missed by Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins from both sides of the Pond and many friends.
Paul had a love of design, building and fixing. He ended his career working side by side with his Dad at Dunn’s Electrical. He was proud of his children. He loved to help Jennifer with her computer and photography pursuits and many a day was spent in a cold arena or a wet field supporting Ian’s sporting activities. He always made Rosanne laugh. Paul was always happy to help, whether at St. Mary’s, with the Knights of Columbus, or with the March of Dimes. Paul was incredibly courageous in the face of seemingly endless health related challenges. Our family would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the Niagara Health System professionals that cared for him over many years, as well as those at Toronto General Hospital Transplant clinic.
The family will receive visitors on Monday July 10, 2023, from 6-8pm at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday July 11, 2023 at 11am at St. Mary of Assumption Catholic Church, 169 St. Paul Crescent., St. Catharines. If so desired, donations made in Paul’s memory to Diabetes Canada or St. Vincent de Paul Society – St. Mary of Assumption Catholic Church would be appreciated by his family.
