Ethel Mae Crooker (Davison)
August 6, 1924 – June 25, 2023
Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family, on June 25, 2023 just shy of her 99th birthday! Ethel was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, the late Harold in 2009. She will be greatly missed by her two children Rick (Shona) and Wendy, four grandchildren Matthew, Vanessa (Kier), Andrew and Bianca (Thaine), great grandchildren Mia, Henry, Elise, Will and Maddox and special friend Bets.
Ethel touched the lives of so many people on her journey here on earth with her special brand of sharing, caring and giving to whoever needed it. She found solace and inspiration in the beauty of nature, an avid gardener. Losing herself in nature brought her peace and tranquility.
She kept her mind sharp by being a voracious reader and never missed completing The St. Catharines Standard’s crossword puzzle. Cleaning was a “passion”, having dusted just days before joining the heavenly house cleaners! She loved to bring people together so it is not surprising that cooking, baking and keeping the home fires burning were her mission. She believed in living in the moment and making hay while the sun shines!
Please join the family Saturday, August 5 at 11 a.m. for a celebration of her life at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, the family will receive friends from 10 am. If so desired, donations made in Ethel's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by her family.
