Obituary of Stefan Crnko

On Thursday, June 15 2023, the Lord welcomed Stefan Crnko into his open arms in Heaven at NHS-St. Catharines with his family by his side. Stefan will be greatly missed by his devoted spouse of 50 years, Liliana Crnko; cherished children, Philip (Josiane) Crnko and Naomi (Andy) Haigh; loving grandchildren: Veronica, Alenka, Sofia, Elliot and Nicolas; sister Kristina Klavžar and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Mirko and Teresa Crnko, brother Bela and sisters Veronica and Marac. Stefan was a proud cabinet maker, gardener, wine maker and lover of cats. He enjoyed sharing the fruits of his labour, watching his grandchildren grow, and spending evenings drinking wine with his neighbours and friends. The family wish to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff at the NHS-St. Catharines, Hotel Dieu Shaver and their fantastic neighbours. In keeping with the families wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 21 2023 from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM with vigil prayers beginning at 3:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria on Thursday, June 22 2023 at 10:00AM with a burial to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Cathedral in honour of Stefan.
