How does a family get through such hard times.
We grieve and cry and mourn together.
Edna we will miss you forever and remember your face.
We'll remember the good times and the scary times;
The Good Times;
Like all the fun we had up north.
Looking for the northern lights.
Rainy Saturday night card games.
Maybe having a glass or two of Rosie! while sitting around a crackling fire.
Not catching any fish, was no problem we did not want to clean them anyway,
but we did get a boat ride.
Driving to the general store up north just for a chocolate bar or two or ice cream,
we did not need that pie or butter tarts but we got them anyway.
The Scary Times;
Like when we got lost, I thought I knew where the shopping mall was.
Visiting bears at the dump-maybe some food was offered and taken...hehehe.
And yes I did have pepperoni in my pocket, but that was not for the bears, only the foxes.
Caught in bad rain storms with lots of thunder and lighting, sorry I laughed when you did a Red Skeleton jump,
you looked so cute in your nitty running on your tippy toes in the rain, I did not know you could jump so high!
And a tornado, that night you had a camp fire right on your deck.
Edna, as the years go by we will pass along your life and the stories,
Hope you forgave us for leaving the smelly worms we left in your fridge!
And I am sorry when I swam away from you, I did not know you could not swim,
but I did come back right away when you called to me!
We were never road kill when we went on one of our road trips, I always brought you home safe & sound as promised.
Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Luv & Stuff, Peter & Lois
