Obituary of Fred Clements
It is with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of the late Mr. Fred “Calder” Clements, Friday, March 24th 2023 in his 60th year. Beloved husband for 37 years to, Kathy Clements; cherished father to, Megan (Kadeem Jeffrey) Clements, Taylor (Andrew Spratt) Clements and Melissa Novel; proud Gampy to: Willy, Ally, David, Zaidyn, Theo and Gianna; brother to: Sandy (Brendan) Bell, Judith Blackie, Lyndon (Angie Grant) Clements, Calvin Clements and Everett (Stefanie Winter) Clements; he will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Fred was predeceased by his loving parents, Fred “Freddy” and Anna (nee MacLean) Clements. Fred loved to be on the move, whether it was outdoors golfing, watching his favourite Boston Bruins, listening to his favourite tunes, he was always ready for a good time and lighting up the lives of everyone around him. Kathy and Fred met as young children and she knew from the very beginning that she was going to be his wife and in 1985 it became official that Kathy was the love of his life. Fred appreciated the things he had in life and loved to share those with the people he cared for most. Going without was not an option when you were in his presence. Fred was a man who did not shy away from hard work; after working in carpentry for 25 years, he retired to enjoy the fruits of his labour and spend his time making funny memories with his family and friends. In keeping with his wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Cremation has taken place, with no service at this time; however, the family wish that donations be made in memory of Fred to the Brain Injury Association of Niagara.
