Obituary of Annie Page
Annie Page (Huizer)
Annie passed into glory peacefully, on Easter Sunday at Radiant Care Tabor Manor in St. Catharines. Annie was the cherished mother of: Harry Huizer (Marg), Art Huizer Page (Deborah), Patricia Page (Orlie) and daughters-in-law Mary Jean Page and Brenda Rockwell. Oma was loved by her grandchildren: Marianne (Kurt), Bill (Ashley), David (Ada), Tami (Kris), Kelly, Ashley (Zach), Maggie (Sean), Connor (Jenn) and Jessica (Tom). Annie was also loved by her many great-grandchildren and relatives. She was predeceased by her two loving husbands, Willem (1973) and Roy (2013) sons, Bill Huizer (2016) and Chris Page (2021); sisters: Roelofje, Dirkje and Hermina and her brother Jan. Annigje "Annie" (nee Snijder), was born in the Netherlands, in 1952 she left for Canada with her first husband, Willem and their two sons. They settled in Niagara-on-the-Lake where Annie sadly lost Willem; however, two years after Willem's sudden passing, she married Roy Page and they lived in NOTL until 2010. From 2010 to 2018 she enjoyed living at the Royal Henley Retirement home in St. Catharines and then from 2019 she lived a happy life at Radiant Care. Annie and Roy travelled to many parts of the world together, a few months every winter they enjoyed living in Naples Florida where they developed many close friendships. Annie's favourite piece of technology was the telephone- she made calls daily to her family no matter where in the world she or they might be! Annie lived a full life, always young at heart, funny and very friendly. She especially loved her family and loved hosting large celebrations with them throughout the year. Special thanks to the staff and nurses at both the Royal Henley and Radiant Care for their love and care for Annie. During Annie's last two months she would say the same words to everyone who visited, called or cared for her. Those words were " I LOVE YOU"!
