Obituary of Adelene Marion Trapp

Adelene Marion Trapp (nee Schinkel) 

August 12, 1934 – March 31, 2023 

With sad hearts we share the peaceful passing of our beloved Addie. We are grateful for the compassionate care and guidance from Dr. Scher at the Douglas Memorial Hospital. 

Addie was passionate about her family and her happiest times were spent together with them. She will be fondly remembered for her love of baking her signature chocolate chip cookies, mince tarts, and pies of many varieties.  We will miss her wicked games of Scrabble and Upwards. Addie proudly served as secretary at Virgil Public School for many years, and enjoyed her time spent with the students. 

Deeply missed and loved mom of Sharon Stewart (Vaughn) and Sharlene Scott (Bob).  Dearly loved Grandma of Kate Stewart and Chamath DeSilva, Megan Stewart, Lee and Amy Stewart. Cherished Mama of Emily Scott, Colin and Jess Scott, and Cameron Scott.  Dearest Great Grandma to her precious little girls, Addie and Ayomi DeSilva, Sophie Stewart, and Abigail and Isabel Scott. Auntie will be dearly missed by her devoted and caring niece, Marianne Kond.  Survived by her dear brother Irwin Schinkel (Jan); predeceased by her sister Anita Kond and brother Richard Schinkel. Predeceased by her husband Jack Trapp, and her daughter Shirley Reynolds.  Survived by her grandchildren Corey, Kyle and Amy Reynolds and great grandson Nathan.
